Staff Nurse (LPN / RN) - IDD Group Home New

A recognized health services organization on Long Island is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in a residential setting in Nassau County. In this role, the Staff Nurse (LPN / RN) will be responsible for delivering quality nursing care and managing the plan of care for residents with developmental disabilities.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 7am to 3pm
• Setting: Residential

Responsibilities:

• Providing direct nursing care and managing the plan of care in a residential setting
• Overseeing the care provided by a team of three nurses
• Delivering nursing services and supporting residents' complex behavioral and medical needs
• Coordinating resident care and unit activities with multi-disciplinary teams
• Engaging in ongoing education and implementation of best practices

Qualifications:

• 6+ months of experience (new graduates considered)
• NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
• AHA Basic Life Support certification
• Effective communication skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Capacity to collaborate with diverse team members

• 6+ months of experience in Pediatrics and/or Behavioral Health
• Bachelor's in Nursing
• National Certification in a specialty
• Proficiency in technology and Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
